Polishing Pad Koch Chemie Fine Cut Foam Pad (150 x 25 mm)
A medium-firm polishing pad designed for polishing moderately weathered paintwork and removing moderate scratches using Koch Chemie Fine Cut F6.01 polishing compound. Its low profile of just 25 mm reduces torsional forces, allowing for excellent handling and maximum stability. The special foam density ensures long-lasting firmness under compression during polishing. The milled edge provides greater flexibility, allowing the polishing pad to better adapt to body contours and angles. The polishing pad's color coding matches that of the corresponding polishing compound, making it easier to select the right product.

How to care for polishing pads
- Proper care of polishing pads is essential for their long service life and future polishing performance.
- During use, the temperature of the pad itself is very important for its durability, as it can become extremely hot while polishing paintwork.
- Prolonged polishing and frequent overheating of the pad will significantly shorten its service life.
- Therefore, monitor the temperature and allow the pad to cool down if it becomes overheated.
- High temperatures can damage both the foam and the adhesive used in the pad.
- The polishing pad must be cleaned frequently during the polishing process, otherwise it will lose its effectiveness and paint polishing will become inefficient.
- As soon as the polishing pad becomes clogged with polishing compound, it needs to be cleaned.
- You can use a medium-soft brush, such as the Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad Cleaning - Hard Blue, and set the polisher to a low speed. Hold the polisher away from the vehicle and use the brush to remove the old polishing compound.
- Simply hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher rotate the pad against it. Be careful not to scatter used polishing compound onto the polished paintwork.
- If you have an air compressor, you can also use it to blow out the pad while the polisher is running.
- After completing the machine polishing process, the pad should also be properly cleaned and prepared for its next use.
- We recommend machine washing the polishing pad at 40 °C using a detergent designed for microfiber. We recommend the high-quality Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works exceptionally well.
- Never wash polishing pads together with towels or microfiber cloths!
- After washing, never put the pads in a tumble dryer. Instead, allow them to air dry on a drying towel with the polishing side facing down.
- If a washing machine is not available, the pads can also be washed by hand using an APC cleaner, such as Gyeon Q²M APC, diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
- Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a clean, sealed plastic container.
