Polishing disc Koch Chemie Fine Cut Foam Pad (45 x 25 mm)
Medium-hard polishing disc for polishing moderately weathered paints and removing medium scratches using Koch Chemie Fine Cut F6.01 polishing paste. The low height of 25 mm results in low torsional forces, enabling excellent handling and maximum stability. The special density of the foam material allows for long-lasting rigidity under relative compression during polishing. The milled edge allows for greater flexibility of the disc, allowing the polishing disc to better adapt to transitions and angles of the car body. The colour coding of the polishing disc is the same as the colour coding of the polishing paste (for better orientation when selecting the right paste).

How to care for polishing discs
- Caring for polishing discs is very important for their long service life and future polishing capabilities.
- When working, the temperature of the disc itself is very important for the disc and its service life, as it can heat up to high temperatures when polishing paint.
- If you sand paint for a long time and frequently overheat the disc, you will significantly shorten its service life.
- Therefore, monitor the temperature and if the disc is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
- Both the foam and the adhesive of the disc suffer at high temperatures.
- The polishing disc needs to be cleaned frequently during the polishing process, otherwise it will stop working and the paint polishing will not be effective.
- As soon as the polishing disc is clogged with polishing paste, you need to start dealing with it.
- You can take a medium-soft brush (e.g. Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue) and set the polisher to a lower speed, hold it in your hand and brush away the old paste with the brush.
- Just hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher rotate the disc. Be careful not to throw the used paste onto the polished paintwork of the car.
- If you have an air compressor, you can use it to simply blow off the disc in the same way with the polisher switched on.
- After successful machine polishing, the disc also needs to be put in a condition so that it can be used again next time.
- Here we recommend washing the polishing disc in a washing machine at 40 °C using a detergent that is suitable for microfibre. We recommend using the high-quality Gyeon Q²M TowelWash detergent, which works great.
- Never wash the discs together with towels or cloths!
- After washing, do not put the discs in the dryer, but let them dry naturally on a drying towel with the polishing side facing down.
- If you do not have a washing machine, you can also wash the discs by hand using one of the APC cleaners (e.g. Gyeon Q²M APC), diluted in a ratio of 1:6.
- Polishing discs should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed, clean plastic box.
