It is made from high-quality, super-durable foam, exclusively engineered to meet the demands of modern orbital polishers. The rounded shape increases safety and enables precise pressure distribution. Gyeon Q²M Eccentric Finish features a reduced foam height to minimize pad resistance during polishing. The hook-and-loop size has been reduced to perfectly match the backing plate for easy attachment. The pad center has a hole for easy, accurate mounting on the backing plate, and the open center also improves cooling.

How to care for polishing pads

• Caring for polishing pads is important for their long life and future polishing performance.
• During work, the temperature of the pad itself is very important for its lifespan, as the pad can heat up to high temperatures while polishing paint.
• If you sand the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you will significantly shorten its life.
• Therefore monitor the temperature and if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• High temperatures damage both the foam and the pad adhesive.
• The polishing pad needs to be cleaned often during the polishing process, otherwise it will stop working and polishing will not be effective.
• As soon as the pad becomes clogged with polishing compound, you should address it.
• You can take a medium-soft brush (e.g. Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue) and set the polisher to lower speed, hold it off the surface in your hand and brush out the old compound with the brush.
• Simply hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher spin the pad. Be careful not to fling used compound onto the freshly polished paint.
• If you own an air compressor, you can use it the same way and simply blow the pad while the polisher is running.
• After a successful machine polishing session, the pad should also be prepared for ideal use next time.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40 °C using a detergent intended for microfiber. We recommend the high-quality detergent Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works excellently.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not put pads in the dryer after washing; instead let them air dry laid on a drying towel with the polishing side facing down.
• If you do not have access to a washing machine, you can wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner (e.g. Gyeon Q²M APC) diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
