Onkyo X-QD1800 Car Stereo
The Onkyo X-QD1800 represents the flagship model in Onkyo’s Android car stereo lineup, combining very powerful hardware, a premium 9" 2K QLED IPS display and an exceptionally refined audio feature set. At its core is an octa-core Qualcomm Cortex-A73 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, giving the unit very fast system performance, smooth multitasking and plenty of space for apps, map data and multimedia content. It runs Android 12 and includes Wi-Fi 2.4 / 5 GHz, 4G LTE, GPS navigation, Bluetooth 5.0 and extensive connectivity options for other devices. Another strength of the X-QD1800 is its full-featured DSP, 5.1 RCA outputs with 4 V level and both optical and coaxial digital outputs, allowing the head unit to serve as a high-quality foundation even for demanding aftermarket audio systems.
Premium 9" 2K QLED IPS display
The centerpiece of the Onkyo X-QD1800 is its 9" QLED IPS display with a high resolution of 2000 × 1200 px. The employed technology delivers very fine detail, good viewing angles and high brightness up to 500 nits. The capacitive 2.5D G+G glass ensures precise and natural touch control similar to modern smartphones. The high resolution is especially beneficial when using navigation, multimedia apps or camera system images.
Powerful Qualcomm processor and 8 + 256 GB memory
The Onkyo X-QD1800 uses an octa-core Qualcomm Cortex-A73 processor which, together with 8 GB of RAM, ensures snappy system performance even when running multiple apps simultaneously. The 256 GB internal storage provides ample space for apps, maps, music, video and other content. The Android 12 operating system allows installation of compatible apps and customization of the head unit to the user’s needs.
Integrated GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE
The head unit features an integrated GPS receiver and supports both online and offline navigation apps. Internet access is possible via Wi-Fi on 2.4 and 5 GHz bands or through the built-in 4G LTE module. This enables the stereo to function as a fully standalone multimedia center without constantly sharing a phone’s connection. The package includes external antennas for GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile connectivity.
Bluetooth 5.0 and wireless connectivity
Bluetooth 5.0 provides stable wireless connections to smartphones, hands‑free calling and wireless music playback. The package includes an external microphone that can be positioned in the vehicle interior to achieve better voice transmission during calls. The unit also supports screen mirroring of compatible devices via Phone MirrorLink.
Full-featured DSP and 48-band equalizer
One of the main advantages of the Onkyo X-QD1800 is its full-featured DSP processor with very extensive sound tuning options. Available are a 48-band equalizer, time correction, Q-factor adjustment and a wide range of audio features including DTS Surround, TruBass, Circle Surround, Phantom Center and Audio Focus. The system also includes several preset sound profiles. This allows the audio to be finely tailored to the specific vehicle and the listener’s preferences.
5.1 RCA outputs, 4 V and digital audio
The Onkyo X-QD1800 offers 5.1 RCA pre-outs with an output level up to 4 V, a dedicated subwoofer output and a center channel output. The higher RCA signal level is suitable for connecting external amplifiers and helps achieve better signal-to-noise performance. For more complex installations, there is also an optical SPDIF and a coaxial digital audio output, allowing the signal to be passed to an external DSP processor or other digital device without requiring analog conversion.
Hi-Res Audio and DSD support
The audio section of the head unit supports lossless and Hi-Res formats including DSD, FLAC, APE, AAC and MP3. The Onkyo X-QD1800 is thus focused not only on multimedia features but also on high-quality sound reproduction. Combined with the advanced DSP, digital outputs and 5.1 RCA pre-outs, it can serve as a well-equipped signal source for demanding car audio systems.
AHD, 360° and DVR camera support
The Onkyo X-QD1800 offers extensive support for camera systems. A rear AHD parking camera can be connected, and a 360° panoramic camera system is also supported. The unit also supports DVR / dashcam solutions and video recording. The large 2K display provides plenty of space for clear camera image presentation during parking and maneuvering.
HDMI and broad multimedia connectivity
The equipment includes an HDMI output and support for video playback up to 4K resolution. The head unit handles common video formats including H.264, H.265, MP4, AVI, MKV and FLV. Thanks to extensive connectivity, the X-QD1800 can be used as the vehicle’s central multimedia unit and connected to external monitors, cameras, amplifiers or DSP processors.
