Onkyo X-QD1800 Car Stereo
The Onkyo X-QD1800 represents the top model of Onkyo’s Android head unit range, combining very powerful hardware, a 9" QLED IPS display and an exceptionally refined audio feature set. At its core is an octa-core Qualcomm Cortex-A73 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, ensuring very fast system performance, smooth multitasking and ample space for apps, map data and multimedia. The unit runs Android 12 and includes Wi‑Fi 2.4 / 5 GHz, 4G LTE, GPS navigation, Bluetooth 5.0 and broad connectivity options. A major strength of the X-QD1800 is its full-featured DSP, 5.1 RCA outputs with 4 V level and both optical and coaxial digital outputs, making the stereo a high-quality foundation for demanding aftermarket audio systems.
9" QLED IPS display
The centerpiece of the Onkyo X-QD1800 is a 9" QLED IPS display with a 1280 × 720 px resolution. The technology used provides very detailed images, good viewing angles and high brightness up to 500 nits. The capacitive 2.5D G+G glass ensures precise and natural touch control similar to modern smartphones. The high resolution is particularly appreciated when using navigation, multimedia apps or camera system images.
Powerful Qualcomm processor and 4 + 64 GB memory
The Onkyo X-QD1800 uses an octa-core Qualcomm Cortex-A73 processor which, together with 4 GB of RAM, ensures responsive system performance even when running multiple apps simultaneously. The 64 GB internal storage provides ample space for apps, maps, music, videos and other content. The Android 12 operating system allows installation of compatible apps and customization of the head unit to the user’s needs.
Built-in GPS navigation, Wi‑Fi and 4G LTE
The head unit features an integrated GPS receiver and supports both online and offline navigation apps. Internet connectivity is available via Wi‑Fi in 2.4 and 5 GHz bands or through the built-in 4G LTE module. As a result, the stereo can operate as a fully standalone multimedia center without constantly sharing a phone’s connection. The package includes external antennas for GPS, Wi‑Fi and mobile connectivity.
Bluetooth 5.0 and wireless connectivity
Bluetooth 5.0 enables stable wireless connection to a mobile phone, handsfree calling and wireless music playback. An external microphone is included in the package and can be positioned in the vehicle interior for improved voice quality during calls. The unit also supports screen mirroring from compatible devices via Phone MirrorLink.
Full-featured DSP and 48-band equalizer
One of the main advantages of the Onkyo X-QD1800 is its full DSP processor with extensive sound tuning options. It includes a 48-band equalizer, time alignment, Q-factor adjustment and a wide range of sound features including DTS Surround, TruBass, Circle Surround, Phantom Center and Audio Focus. Several preset sound profiles are also available. This allows the sound to be finely tailored to the specific vehicle and the user’s listening preferences.
5.1 RCA outputs, 4 V and digital audio
The Onkyo X-QD1800 offers 5.1 RCA pre-outs with up to 4 V output level, a dedicated subwoofer output and a center channel output. The higher RCA level is suitable for connecting external amplifiers and helps achieve better signal-to-noise ratio. For demanding installations, optical SPDIF and coaxial digital audio outputs are available, allowing the digital signal to be passed to an external DSP processor or other digital device without analog conversion.
Hi-Res Audio and DSD support
The audio section supports lossless and Hi-Res formats including DSD, FLAC, APE, AAC and MP3. The Onkyo X-QD1800 is therefore aimed not only at multimedia functionality but also at high-quality sound reproduction. Combined with advanced DSP, digital outputs and 5.1 RCA pre-outs, it can serve as an excellent signal source for more demanding car audio systems.
Support for AHD, 360° and DVR cameras
The Onkyo X-QD1800 provides extensive camera system support. You can connect a rear AHD parking camera and also use a 360° panoramic camera system. The unit supports DVR / dashcam solutions and recording. The large 2K display offers enough space for clear presentation of camera images during parking and maneuvering.
HDMI and broad multimedia connectivity
An HDMI output is included and the unit supports video playback up to 4K resolution. The stereo handles common video formats including H.264, H.265, MP4, AVI, MKV and FLV. Thanks to extensive connectivity, the X-QD1800 can be used as the central multimedia unit of the vehicle and connected to external monitors, cameras, amplifiers or DSP processors.
