Onkyo X-QD1550 Car Stereo
The Onkyo X-QD1550 is an advanced multimedia car stereo running Android 13, with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Compared to more basic Onkyo models, it primarily offers higher hardware performance, an integrated DSP processor with a 36-band equalizer, support for a 360° panoramic camera system and an HDMI output. The large capacitive IPS display provides a 1280 × 720 px resolution and 500 nit brightness, while modern connectivity is complemented by Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 + EDR, GPS navigation and MirrorLink for pairing with compatible phones. The unit also supports AHD parking cameras, CAN-bus interface, two USB inputs and steering wheel controls. The built-in amplifier provides a maximum output of 4 × 50 W and a dedicated RCA subwoofer output enables system expansion with an external amplifier. With an installation depth of only 42 mm, the X-QD1550 is easy to install even in vehicles with limited space behind the head unit.
More powerful hardware with Android 13
The combination of 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage provides more headroom for multitasking, navigation and app installation compared to base models. The Android 13 operating system lets you use compatible navigation, music and other apps similarly to a regular tablet. Built-in Wi‑Fi provides internet access and the integrated GPS receiver allows full use of navigation.
DSP and 36-band equalizer
The X-QD1550 advances sound tuning options with an integrated DSP processor and a 36-band equalizer. Users get significantly more precise control over the final sound compared to basic multimedia units. The built-in amplifier offers a maximum output of 4 × 50 W and RCA outputs are available for connecting an external amplifier, including a dedicated subwoofer output.
Support for 360° camera system
One of the main advantages of the X-QD1550 is support for a 360° panoramic camera system. When compatible cameras are connected, the display can show the vehicle’s surroundings from multiple angles, including a top-down view, which greatly simplifies parking and maneuvering in tight spaces. A standard input for a rear AHD parking camera is also included with automatic image display when reverse gear is engaged.
Wide connectivity options
In addition to Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi and USB, the X-QD1550 also offers an HDMI output, AV input, audio inputs and outputs and a CAN-bus interface. MirrorLink allows screen mirroring from compatible Android and iOS devices. The head unit also supports steering wheel controls and, thanks to the CAN-bus interface, is better prepared for integration into more modern vehicles.
