About Nakamichi
The history of the Nakamichi brand dates back to 1948, when it was founded in Japan by Etsuro Nakamichi. The journey to fulfilling his dreams began with the establishment of the Nakamichi Research Corporation in Tokyo, Japan, which conducted research on sonar and magnets and developed products for major brands, government entities, universities, and organizations. Since then, it has established itself as a trusted creator of high-quality products, resulting from intensive scientific work, a passion for sound, and a commitment to providing uncompromising quality and performance. In 1972, Takeshi Nakamichi joined Nakamichi Corporation, playing a significant role in the company's expansion and being deeply involved in all legendary Nakamichi audio products sold in Asia, America, and Europe, including the first release of the Nakamichi 1000, the world's first cassette deck. He was considered one of the world's best acoustic and sound engineers, able to combine top-notch sound with the brilliant design advantages of audio products by Koza Kobayashi, the brand's chief engineer at the time. The amplifiers, players, and car radios from that era are considered legends today, yet the Nakamichi brand remains successful, producing products for home and vehicle audio systems. The thoughtfully planned portfolio of the manufacturer continues to expand, with all products offering an interesting price-performance ratio. Especially the higher model ranges strive to follow the legacy of Etsuro Nakamichi, whose name is still reflected in the brand's products today.
