Active subwoofer Nakamichi NBS210A
The Nakamichi NBS210A is an active enclosure designed to sit against the side of the trunk, where it doesn't take up much space. The amplifier and its controls and connections are hidden on the rear side and are thus protected from damage when carrying everyday items. The enclosure is covered with black carpet that has a mottled finish to better match most vehicle interiors. This active subwoofer uses the now-rare acoustic design with a passive radiator to assist the main 25 cm subwoofer connected to the amplifier. It is the same cone but without the magnetic system and the centering washer. At the resonant frequency the passive radiator vibrates in sync with the main subwoofer and increases the dynamics of this enclosure. The system is powered by a compact class D amplifier with a relatively modest 100 W RMS output. In combination with a highly sensitive driver the output is fairly well-defined bass with decent acoustic pressure. For fine tuning a full set of tools is available: low-pass 40-160 Hz, phase switch 0 - 180°, subsonic filter fixed at 20 Hz, bass equalizer (bass boost) at 40 Hz and level control 0-12 dB. A remote control is included in the package.

About the Nakamichi brand
