All Morel Hybrid MW midbass models incorporate Morel's cutting-edge technologies. The 2 ¼” aluminum Hexatech external voice coil wound on an aluminum body allows for stable, efficient, and linear piston-like movement, effectively reducing distortion levels. Morel's optimized one-piece DPC diaphragm forms a flat geometric plane, improving sound dispersion and dynamics to create a realistic three-dimensional sound presentation. The suspension of the new hybrid bass speakers enhances the mechanical movement and stability of the diaphragm, resulting in very low distortion levels at high power and better low-frequency dynamic range.

DPC Diaphragm

DPC, or Damped Polymer Cone, is a direct derivative of the diaphragms on which Morel has built its reputation. With high self-damping characteristics, this diaphragm provides exceptional sound quality without coloration or harshness.

Hybrid Magnet Motor

The hybrid motor system uses a ferrite magnet along with a highly powerful neodymium magnet. Combined, they create a compact and lightweight system that is up to four times more powerful than conventional designs of the same size. With the hybrid system, more amplified power is converted into acoustic energy for flawless performance, even in a small driver.

Aluminum Voice Coil HEXATECH™

The Hexatech™ voice coil, made from 100% aluminum wire in a honeycomb shape, reduces air gaps in the coil winding, increasing efficiency by up to 20%. Being lightweight, Hexatech™ coils are largely responsible for the exceptionally fast transient response that Morel's drive units are known for.
