Mercedes A-Class - basic sound system using a DSP processor

Sound upgrade for a Mercedes A-Class that included replacing the front factory speakers, installing an amplifier with a DSP processor, and a new audio system, which we also complemented with a subwoofer. The installation also included measuring the speakers’ frequency response and subsequent sound tuning in the DSP processor software. We had to, of course, respect the customer's budget, which led us to a few compromises—primarily passive speaker wiring—but we did not compromise on component quality or the installation itself. That’s why you can see Morel speakers in this build, an analog Zapco amplifier with an integrated DSP processor, or a compact Focal subwoofer. Quite a refined lineup. At the end of the installation we performed measurement and tuning on the DSP processor. We use the professional JL Audio Max measuring system with 5 microphones to detect all shortcomings and acoustic obstacles inside the vehicle. We then set the measured results in the DSP processor software, fine-tune the sound to our preferences, and finish with final adjustments together with our client. The result is very high-quality sound adapted not only to the listener but also to this particular car.
