Interior Cleaner Meguiar's Carpet & Interior Cleaner (473 ml)
Stains from coffee, lipstick, oil and other hard-to-remove soils should not be a permanent part of carpets, upholstery or plastic and rubber parts. Unlike ordinary household cleaners, Meguiar’s Carpet & Interior Cleaner removes even the most stubborn stains and contaminants, whether water- or oil-based, without changing the color of the cleaned surface or leaving any streaks. It can also be used on Alcantara. It removes stains permanently and leaves no sticky residue that would attract new dirt after cleaning. It also contains softening agents that help restore the fiber softness after treatment and significantly increase cleaning efficiency. Simply spray the product onto the soiled area, let it work for at least 30 seconds, then wipe with a microfiber cloth. Vacuuming the upholstery afterwards is not necessary. For improved cleaning, gently brush the surface with a soft brush (for example, horsehair) while the product is working.

How to clean textile upholstery
- Vacuum the upholstery to remove loose dirt before cleaning.
- Spray evenly on the soiled area and leave to work for at least 30 seconds.
- Thoroughly wipe the surface with a clean, dry microfiber cloth so the dirt transfers from the upholstery to the cloth.
- Fold the cloth to a clean area before each wipe to avoid recontaminating the surface.
- Finally, wipe the entire upholstery surface with a second clean, dry microfiber cloth.
- Some stubborn soils and stains (especially coffee stains and similar) may require repeated applications.
Meguiar's tips
- The sooner you remove a stain, the easier it will be. Older, dried stains may require repeated applications.
- If you need to clean a wet stain, e.g. from coffee, first blot the surface with a clean, dry microfiber cloth or paper towel to remove excess liquid. Then clean the stain following the procedure described above.
How to clean Alcantara
- Alcantara is not leather but a special type of microfiber, so it can be treated similarly to microfiber but more gently. Alcantara is much more susceptible to mechanical damage than ordinary microfiber.
- Preventing contamination is the best way to maintain Alcantara. Regular vacuuming and avoiding stains are the best methods to keep Alcantara soft to the touch, beautiful and luxurious to look at.
- Lightly soiled Alcantara
- Spray a little distilled water onto a clean microfiber cloth.
- Wipe the soiled area, being careful not to saturate the Alcantara with water.
- Dry the surface with a second clean, dry microfiber cloth.
- Do not rub Alcantara with heavy pressure or force — mechanical damage may occur!
- Heavily soiled Alcantara
- Spray a very small amount of G9416 Meguiar’s Carpet & Interior Cleaner onto the soiled area. Ensure the Alcantara does not become saturated with the product.
- Use a very soft brush (for example fine horsehair, available in our range) to loosen the dirt, then gently wipe it away with a dry, clean microfiber cloth and dry the Alcantara completely.
- Important tips
- Always vacuum the surface thoroughly of loose dirt before cleaning.
- Use only a soft horsehair brush (available in our range) or the damp microfiber cloth method. Brushes with hard bristles, e.g. nylon, could damage or tear Alcantara.
- Keep the microfiber cloth slightly damp during cleaning to prevent recontamination of the surface.
- Use only distilled water. Regular water contains dissolved minerals that can leave spots and marks on Alcantara.
- Do not allow Alcantara to become saturated with water or cleaning agents. Overwetting can cause staining and water marks.
- Work very gently and carefully with Alcantara. It is far more sensitive to mechanical damage than ordinary fabrics.
- For heavier soiling or stubborn stains you may need to repeat the gentle cleaning process. Remember that two to three gentle cleanings are always better than one aggressive cleaning.
- Never use aggressive cleaners, products containing bleach or solvents!
