Meguiar's DA Polisher Backing Plate 6" is a professional tool designed for use with dual action (DA) polishers that significantly increases work efficiency during paint correction and the application of waxes or sealants. The backing plate has a 6" (160 mm) diameter, a micro hook & loop system for quick pad changes and precisely shaped edges that allow smooth movement even on curved body panels. Thanks to even pressure distribution it minimizes the risk of uneven sanding or polishing effects and is compatible with most DA polishers with a 5/16" shaft.

Instructions for use

Ensure the polisher is switched off and disconnected from the power source.
Attach the DBP6 backing plate to your DA polisher's spindle - ensure the shaft is 5/16" and compatible.
Attach the chosen pad (e.g., cutting, polishing or finishing) using the Velcro system according to the 6" diameter.
Set the polisher to the recommended speed according to the pad and product type.
Work panel by panel - if performing correction, apply cutting compound; if final polishing, apply wax or sealant. Maintain even movement and overlap passes.
After finishing, disconnect the polisher, wipe the backing plate and pad from product residues to extend their lifespan.
Store the backing plate in a dry place away from dust and dirt - ready for the next use.
