JL Audio MAX-KIT Sound Measurement System

JL Audio MAX™ is a professional dual-FFT measurement system with five microphones. It is ideal for general audio system measurements, tuning systems with DSP, troubleshooting and device testing, and for resolving OEM integration issues. MAX™ has countless applications for home, automotive, marine and professional audio. Thanks to full integration of VXi and MVi DSP controls, MAX™ simplifies your measurement setup and allows you to perform measurements and DSP adjustments using a single computer and the TüN® 4.0 software application, which offers micro-automations that speed up equalization and channel delay setup.

• Test, troubleshoot and analyze any audio system with full detail across three dimensions of sound: level, frequency and time... all in real time!
• Simplify tuning DSP products into a car in a real environment. Simply connect the hardware, place the microphone array, run the TüN® software and tune.
• Quickly test room modes for home audio and home theater subwoofer placement and precisely adjust crossover and phase control for a seamless transition to the subwoofer.
• Evaluate individual or multiple audio zones in a marine installation in terms of frequency response and level.
• Obtain the most accurate possible measurements with 5-microphone averaging! MAX™ multiplexes up to five included microphones to perform individual FFT measurements of level and frequency response (RTA and spectrograph).
• Perform dual FFT measurements of up to five simultaneous transfer functions with accurate display of magnitude (frequency response), phase, impulse response (delay) and coherence (noise immunity).
• Each transfer function captures all audio data for real-time analysis or for comparative analysis.
• Built-in test signal generator (pink and white noise, sine waves, square waves, etc.) and the ability to play WAV files.

Powerful automations with JL Audio VXi and MVi amplifiers:

• The Automatic True Delay feature sets VXi/MVi channel delays much more accurately than any other method in a flash.
• The Autoset EQ feature sets the parametric EQ of VXi/MVi to your chosen target within seconds. You can also overlay the VXi/MVi EQ controls over the frequency response display and perform precise manual EQ adjustments with visual real-time feedback.

• MAX™ measurement accuracy is comparable to professional test equipment that sells for tens of thousands of dollars.
• Wide range of inputs (up to five microphones, high-level analog signals up to 80 V, low-level analog signals up to 7 V, optical digital S/PDIF signals).
• Multiple signal outputs (built-in DAC powering analog line outputs and headphone outputs, plus optical digital output).
• Built-in USB hub simplifies connection to a computer and DSP amplifiers or other USB devices (not intended for charging devices).

What is included in the JL Audio MAX-KIT package?

• MAX-KIT includes the MAX™ hardware interface, five measurement microphones, the multi-microphone fixture, mounting accessories, cables and power supplies - all packed in a lockable waterproof hard case.
