The C2 speaker systems from JL Audio combine the faithful sound of a silk-dome tweeter, natural midrange and the power potential of the mid-woofer drivers in a wide range of popular sizes. The C2 series therefore includes both component and coaxial speakers in several common sizes, as well as separate tweeters or mid-woofers. When designing the new C2 speakers, JL Audio engineers drew on extensive experience in woofer design and on tweeter technologies used in the higher-end C5 component systems. All coaxial and component systems feature a 19 mm tweeter with a silk dome. This natural material enables a natural sound and a smooth, extended off-axis response. The smaller tweeter size minimizes protrusion, which is especially appreciated in coaxial installations. The mid-woofer cone is made from mineral-filled polypropylene, providing sufficient rigidity and the capability for long excursions. The stamped steel basket minimizes resonances in this area. All speakers include stylish black grille covers with satin-silver accents and a plated JL Audio logo.
