Based on the flat-subwoofer technology of JL Audio's TW5 series, the TW3 models deliver a combination of very high sound quality, high power, shallow mounting depth and cone excursion capability that is actually greater than the classic W3v3 line. The TW3 subwoofers are optimized for the tightest of spaces yet still provide rich depth and excellently controlled bass performance that you would expect from JL Audio. To achieve this remarkable performance, JL Audio introduced its patented Concentric Tube Suspension flat woofer technology. This reduces mounting depth to a minimum while delivering outstanding excursion capability and maximum performance potential. The TW3 subwoofers also use an ingenious recessed basket design so that most forward excursion occurs within the basket dimensions. The result is a mounting depth of only 83 mm. A recommended sealed enclosure of just 14 L enables operation in extremely confined spaces, for example under the seats of MPVs, inside sports car interiors, or in a flush-mounted installation in the trunk floor. JL Audio applied all its technological know-how and years of experience to create an exceptionally slim subwoofer without any compromise in performance or sound quality.
