Hyundai i30 - installation of new speakers and subwoofer

New audio system for the Hyundai i30. The basic factory speakers in virtually all cars won’t satisfy a music lover’s ear, which is why they are usually replaced. When installing new speakers on a factory head unit it’s essential to choose high-sensitivity speakers so the weak amplifier in the factory radio can drive them. Add a reduced impedance of 3 ohms and very advanced sound, and you have the ideal speakers. Specifically, we used Hertz components from the Mille Pro line. These speakers come from the Italian manufacturer’s second-highest range and, due to their qualities, we’re very happy to install them both on factory radios and with external amplifiers. In this case we chose the first option. We thoroughly damped the doors with SGM antivibration materials, which improves the midbass speaker’s sound and also prevents various unwanted noises from the door’s plastic trim. To support the bass we installed a very compact Audison subwoofer in the boot. You can find more information in our photo report.
