The Ci7 C165.2FM-S3 is not an ordinary coaxial speaker — it combines the Ci7 W165FM-S3 woofer with the Ci7 T20FM-SC tweeter into a sophisticated coincident system. Both drivers radiate sound from the same point, creating a true point source. This delivers absolutely accurate, phase-coherent and time-aligned reproduction — ideal even in acoustically demanding environments. The HELIX COMPOSE platform is enriched with another smart and practical solution sure to impress discerning listeners.
Excellent combination of detail and power
Using the proven i7 UHD paper cone and a silk dome tweeter, complemented by a coupling chamber damped with sheep’s wool, the C165.2FM-S3 offers a perfect balance: firm and precise low midrange complemented by smooth and brilliant highs. The coaxial arrangement also ensures optimal spatial imaging and a consistent soundstage.
Durable construction with minimal resonances
The baskets of all HELIX COMPOSE i7 and i3 speakers are made from a polymer composite reinforced with glass microbeads. The result is maximum stiffness, minimal intrinsic resonance and high resistance to heat. This allows compact basket dimensions and ensures easy installation even in tight spaces.
FlexMount165 – intelligent mounting system
The patented FlexMount165 fastening system allows a universal speaker to be converted into a model specific to a particular vehicle. With special mounting rings, the C165.2FM-S3 can be installed in factory locations in almost any car while maintaining optimal acoustic conditions.
ProConnect – a new connection standard
The woofer is equipped with the ProConnect terminal, providing a professional automotive plug connection. It allows easy and secure connection with HELIX WireKits, standard speaker wires or vehicle-specific harnesses. The connection is protected against reverse polarity, is lockable and can handle high electrical and mechanical loads.
WireKits – simple Plug & Play
With WireKits, HELIX COMPOSE speakers can be quickly and safely connected to the vehicle’s factory wiring. Lockable adapters meet automotive industry standards and are resistant to the demanding conditions inside a vehicle.
Maximum efficiency and output
Like other models on the HELIX COMPOSE platform, the C165.2FM-S3 uses 3-ohm technology to increase efficiency and acoustic output (SPL), and is perfectly matched with HELIX and MATCH amplifiers.
Important notice
The speaker does not have a built-in crossover!
- Active operation requires 2 DSP channels per speaker.
- A high-pass filter for the tweeter must be set in the upstream DSP or DSP amplifier.
- Alternatively, the separately available crossover Ci7 FX-UNI.2 can be used.
