It is made from high‑quality, highly durable foam and is conceived for modern orbital polishers. The rounded shape increases safety and allows precise pressure control. Gyeon Q²M Eccentric Polish has a reduced foam height to minimize pad resistance during polishing. The hook‑and‑loop diameter has been reduced to perfectly match the backing plate for easy attachment. The center of the pad features a hole for easy and accurate mounting on the backing plate, and the open center also improves cooling.

How to care for polishing pads

• Proper care of polishing pads is important for their longevity and future polishing performance.
• During use, pad temperature is critical—pads can heat up to high temperatures while polishing.
• If you grind the paint for a long time and frequently overheat the pad, you will significantly shorten its lifespan.
• Monitor the temperature and, if the pad is overheated, let it cool down for a while.
• Both the foam and the pad adhesive suffer at high temperatures.
• Polishing pads need to be cleaned often during the polishing process; otherwise they will clog and polishing will become ineffective.
• Once a pad is loaded with polishing compound, it needs attention.
• You can use a medium‑soft brush (e.g. Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue) and set the polisher to low speed, hold it off the paint and brush the old compound out of the pad.
• Hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher spin the pad. Be careful not to fling used compound onto freshly polished paint.
• If you have an air compressor, you can also blow the pad clean in the same way while the polisher is running.
• After a successful machine polishing session, the pad should be prepared for future use.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 40 °C with a detergent designed for microfiber. We recommend the high‑quality detergent Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works excellently.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cloths!
• Do not tumble dry pads after washing; let them air dry flat on a drying towel with the polishing side down.
• If you do not have access to a washing machine, you can wash pads by hand using an APC cleaner (e.g. Gyeon Q²M APC) diluted at 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed clean plastic box.
