Gyeon Q²M Rotary Wool Cut is a premium wool pad designed to remove heavy paint defects, engineered exclusively to meet the demands of all modern rotary polishers. It delivers incredibly fast cutting performance. It is made from the finest Merino wool with very high density and a unique chemical treatment for long life, which also allows it to be washed. The increased wool height is ideal for smooth, easy work on curved body panels. The hook-and-loop diameter has been reduced to perfectly match the backing plate for easy attachment.

How to care for polishing pads

• Caring for polishing pads is important for their longevity and future polishing performance.
• During use, the pad's temperature is critical to its lifespan, as it can heat up to high temperatures when polishing paint.
• If you polish the paint for extended periods and frequently overheat the pad, you will significantly shorten its service life.
• Therefore monitor the temperature and if the pad becomes overheated, allow it to cool down for a while.
• High temperatures damage both the pad surface and the adhesive.
• The polishing pad should be cleaned frequently during the polishing process; otherwise it will clog and polishing will become ineffective.
• As soon as the pad becomes loaded with polish, you should address it.
• You can use a medium-soft brush (e.g. Poka Premium Brush for Details and Pad cleaning - Hard Blue) and set the polisher to low speed, running it off the surface in your hand, and gently brush out the old polish.
• Hold the brush in your hand and let the polisher spin the pad. Be careful not to fling the used polish onto the freshly polished paintwork.
• If you have an air compressor, you can likewise blow out the pad while the polisher is running.
• After a successful machine polishing session, the pad should be prepared so it can be used again.
• We recommend washing the polishing pad in a washing machine at 30 °C using a detergent intended for microfiber. We recommend using the high-quality detergent Gyeon Q²M TowelWash, which works excellently.
• Never wash pads together with towels or cleaning cloths!
• Do not put pads in a tumble dryer after washing; instead let them air-dry flat on a drying towel with the polishing side facing down.
• If you don't have access to a washing machine, you can wash the pads by hand using an APC cleaner (e.g. Gyeon Q²M APC), diluted at a ratio of 1:6.
• Polishing pads should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally in a closed, clean plastic box.
