Ford Focus ST - speaker replacement

Replacement of the factory speakers in a Ford Focus ST. In this beautiful sports car you can fully enjoy the sound of the engine, but getting high‑quality playback of your favorite music is more difficult. The simplest solution is to replace the speakers while keeping the factory head unit. For that it is necessary to choose speakers with optimal power and high sensitivity, which allows connection to a factory radio with lower output. Lately we have favored component speakers from the Italian maker Audison for such installations; they meet all the mentioned parameters and also deliver very high sound quality. Thanks to sensitivity above 92 dB they are suitable both for connection to the head unit and to an external amplifier, and they offer high power of 115 W RMS. In this case we chose the first option. We installed the mentioned speakers in the front doors and fitted the rear doors with coaxial speakers with integrated tweeters from the same manufacturer. Using cable adapters we utilized the sufficiently strong factory wiring and therefore did not interfere with the vehicle’s electrical system. We damped all the doors with premium Comfortmat materials, which especially enhances the bass output of the mid‑woofers and improves their sound.View products >Hide products >
