JL Audio FiX™ 86 is the most advanced digital signal processor designed to deliver premium sound from factory audio systems without replacing the OEM head unit. FiX™ 82 is the first DSP that automatically corrects time-delayed factory outputs before summing and EQ correction. With a powerful 24-bit DSP processor and two integrated 1/3-octave equalizers, complex 2-way, 3-way and 4-way factory audio outputs are combined and automatically matched in level into a flat stereo full-range signal. Differentially balanced inputs accept virtually any analog OEM audio signal from low-voltage line to high-power amplified speaker-level outputs (up to 30 V RMS). Calibration starts with a single button press and completes in about 30 seconds without the need for special equipment. Connecting a PC with the TüN™ software via USB also provides access to a full set of diagnostic panels that show the frequency response of the input signals and the corrected outputs. Input polarity, attenuation and filtering can be adjusted and new calibrations can be initiated from the PC. Clicking the “TUNE” tab in the TüN™ interface also gives access to a pair of user-configurable 10-band graphic equalizers for fine-tuning output signals. Output options include 3 pairs of RCA connectors (4 V RMS) or a digital optical (Toslink) output supporting PCM (S/PDIF) audio at 24-bit/48 kHz. Activation methods include 12V or automatic (Signal/DC-Offset Sensing), plus a dedicated remote output for switching on your aftermarket equipment. Connect the optional JL Audio DRC-100 digital remote control (sold separately) to add master volume control from the driver’s seat. Clipped input signals and overall status are also reported via the multi-color status LED of the DRC-100. Achieving great sound from your factory stereo has never been easier or sounded better.
