Interconnect cable for steering wheel adapter 42ARC000

• Patch cable for connecting aftermarket car radios to a steering wheel control adapter (LFB/SWC).
• Different radio manufacturers use different types of control inputs: single-wire, two- and multi-wire (Key1/Key2/GND) or input via a 3.5 mm jack – the exact variant is always specified in the BDA (manual) of the specific head unit.
• All necessary connection wires must be wired before connecting the interface to the vehicle.
• For some radios it is necessary to additionally "teach" (remap) the steering wheel button functions in the unit menu according to the radio manufacturer's BDA.
• Always test correct function before final installation.

Note

• Connection: 4-pin Molex → outputs Key1 / Key2 / GND (ground).
• LFB patch cable for interface 42cx401 (compatible with kits 42a-xxxx-xxx).
• DIP switch settings: see table below (ON/OFF mode).
• Atoto aftermarket units are not supported.
• Must be ordered together with the appropriate steering wheel adapter.
• Information on how steering wheel adapters and their patch cables work is available from the manufacturer.

• China HU - connection Key1 / Key2 / (GND).
• Blaupunkt 2010 -> - connection Key1 / Key2 / (GND).
• ESX - connection Key1 / Key2.
• Kenwood 2020 -> - connection Key1 / Key2 / GND.
• Snooper - connection Key1 / Key2.

DIP switch settings for 42cx401:

• Blaupunkt 2010 -> - OFF / ON / OFF (alternative: OFF / ON / ON).
• China HU - OFF / ON / OFF.
• ESX - OFF / ON / OFF.
• Kenwood 2020 -> - OFF / ON / OFF (alternative: OFF / ON / ON).
• Snooper - OFF / ON / OFF.
