The Gyeon Q² Syncro EVO kit is a so-called "second skin" for your car's paint. It is an advanced, two-step set of next-generation ceramic coatings composed of the Gyeon Q² Mohs EVO ceramic coating and Gyeon Q² Skin EVO. Gyeon Q² Mohs EVO is a legendary, reborn ceramic coating that has been reworked from the ground up and now represents the world’s first automotive ceramic coating using a fluorine-modified polysilazane formulation. Modifying polysilazanes in the precursor stages brings huge advantages on all levels — durability, chemical resistance, and ease of application, which is remarkably simple while still providing extremely chemical-resistant protection. Gyeon Q² Skin EVO is the top layer that significantly increases gloss, enhances the color depth of dark shades, and improves the durability of the hydrophobic effect. All new EVO ceramic protections from Gyeon can be applied outdoors, of course assuming ideal conditions such as dry weather, relatively no wind, and shade.

How to use

• Before you start, watch the official Gyeon YouTube video.
• Never apply the coating in direct sunlight or on a hot body panel.
• Work in a well-ventilated workshop or garage; never work in a small enclosed garage.
• Coating drying depends on temperature and humidity. The higher the temperature, the faster the coating dries.
• For indoor and outdoor application it is recommended to work at temperatures between 15 and 25 °C.
• To start, thoroughly wash the car with a quality car shampoo without added gloss or protection. It must be a plain car shampoo.
• Always decontaminate the paint from fallout iron, tar and insect residues.
• For this we recommend using Gyeon Q²M Iron REDEFINED, Gyeon Q²M Tar REDEFINED and Gyeon Q²M Bug&Grime.
• If necessary, perform mechanical decontamination of the paint using clay.
• The clay procedure is described, for example, in our article "How to decontaminate paint."
• After clay if necessary, wash the body again with shampoo, rinse and thoroughly dry with a quality drying towel.
• The car must be perfectly dry.
• There must be no residual water running from washing during the coating application.
• Ideally, polish the paint with a polisher to remove unsightly holograms.
• The last but very important step is thorough degreasing of the body.
• We recommend degreasing the body twice using Gyeon Q²M Prep and a long-pile microfiber towel such as the Purestar Grass Buffing Towel.
• Then the paint is responsibly prepared for the ceramic coating. Without preparation the coating will not perform correctly!
• Always wear protective rubber gloves before application; health comes first!
• Shake the bottle with the ceramic coating.
• Dispense the ceramic coating onto the supplied applicator sponge.
• Apply with cross motions to an area no larger than 50 x 50 cm.
• After application wipe the coating off immediately with a microfiber cloth (e.g. Gyeon Q²M PolishWipe EVO or Gyeon Q²M SoftWipe EVO).
• If temperature rises, shorten the time between application and wiping.
• Gyeon Q² Mohs EVO creates a thick layer, so you will need an absorbent microfiber towel. Choosing the right towel is crucial.
• Work gradually (section by section) across the entire body.
• To increase durability you can apply a second layer of the coating, which can be applied 60 minutes after the first layer.
• One hour after applying Q² Mohs EVO you can apply a thin layer of the secondary coating Gyeon Q² Skin EVO.
• Apply it again with cross motions and wipe immediately with a microfiber cloth after application.
• Work on areas no larger than 50 x 50 cm.
• During application we recommend changing towels; over time a towel will clog and may leave marks that, once dried, cannot be removed. Our recommendation is to have 3 to 4 microfiber towels for polishing the coating.
• Do not let a microfiber towel fall on the floor!
• Don’t forget good illumination of the paint surface; our TIP is to use a headlamp.
• After successful application we recommend leaving the car for at least 12 hours in a warm, dry place so the coating can properly cure.
• For 2 weeks after application we recommend not washing the car; rain does not harm the coating.
• Subsequent maintenance after applying the ceramic coating is very simple: just wash the vehicle with a quality shampoo, for example Gyeon Q²M Bathe. Everything else is unrestricted.
