Carbon Collective Exfoli-Block 2.0

Carbon Collective Exfoli-Block 2.0 represents an innovative system for mechanical decontamination of paint that fully replaces traditional clay bars. This ergonomic cleaning block with replaceable polymer pads efficiently removes embedded contaminants without the risk of rapid damage if accidentally dropped. Thanks to a thoughtful design with integrated foam, it ensures a safe glide over the bodywork and significantly simplifies paint preparation before applying protective layers.

When using a traditional clay bar for paint decontamination, detailers often struggle with awkward handling, the constant need to knead the clay and, most importantly, the risk of dropping it on the ground, which immediately ruins it. This innovative system eliminates those drawbacks. The ergonomic plastic holder fits perfectly in the palm, providing maximum control over pressure and movement across the bodywork. Work becomes far less tiring and much safer for the vehicle’s paint. The patented polymer surface of the cleaning pads is designed to be gentle even on the softest paints, while its biggest advantage is the ability to be reused up to fifty times. If the block slips during work, simply rinse it in a bucket of clean water and you can continue without worry.

The key to a safe and effective decontamination process is continuous lubrication of the surface. This system features an integrated open-cell polymer foam that acts as a reservoir for the washing solution. During use the foam gradually releases the absorbed shampoo and water directly under the cleaning surface, preventing the pad from drying out and minimizing the risk of fine scratches. The package includes two replaceable pads with different aggressiveness levels that attach to the holder with Velcro. The medium pad is ideal for routine maintenance and removing light fallout, airborne rust or tree sap. The heavy pad, on the other hand, tackles coarse contaminants, road tar or old layers of wax and sealant, which you’ll appreciate especially when cleaning lower body panels and inner lips of alloy wheels.

Using this modern solution saves you time and money that would otherwise be spent on disposable clay bars. The replaceable polymer pads can be purchased separately when worn, so you don’t need to buy the whole set with the holder again. This decontamination system is an indispensable tool for anyone aiming for a perfectly smooth paint surface before polishing or applying waxes, sealants or ceramic protections. Regular mechanical decontamination removes microscopic contaminants that ordinary washing cannot eliminate, restoring paint gloss and significantly extending the lifespan of subsequently applied protective layers.

Key features

  • Reusable system for mechanical paint decontamination that replaces classic detailing clay.
  • One pad can be reused up to 50 times.
  • Ergonomic plastic holder for comfortable palm grip and precise guidance across the surface.
  • Integrated open-cell foam that absorbs lubricant and gradually releases it for a safe glide.
  • Patented polymer surface gentle even to soft and sensitive paints.
  • Two hardness levels of pads included (medium and heavy) for different contamination levels.
  • Can be easily rinsed if contaminated or dropped on the ground.
  • Replaceable polymer pads available separately as spare parts.

How to use

  • Before starting decontamination, wash and rinse the vehicle thoroughly.
  • Use the decontamination block only on a clean, wet and well-lubricated surface.
  • Prepare a rich solution of car shampoo and water in a bucket, into which you will immerse the block so the foam soaks up enough liquid.
  • Before first use on paint, run the polymer surface over the car’s glass to bed it in.
  • Move the block over the bodywork with light pressure in straight, overlapping passes.
  • Never allow the paint surface to dry out during work and do not use plain water as the only lubricant.
  • After finishing each panel, return the block to the bucket with the washing solution and rinse the trapped contaminants from the polymer surface by hand.
  • Repeat the process until the paint feels perfectly smooth to the touch.
  • After finishing, rinse the entire system thoroughly with clean water and let it dry naturally.
  • Avoid exposing the block to strong cleaning agents and do not expose it to high temperatures.
