Kenwood DMX6523DABS is a modern multimedia car stereo with a 6.8" capacitive touchscreen, wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a built-in DAB+ tuner, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Thanks to its very short 1DIN chassis with an installation depth of only 86 mm, it is suitable even for vehicles where space behind the radio is limited.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Kenwood DMX6523DABS lets you use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto both wirelessly and via USB. On the 6.8" touchscreen you can conveniently control navigation, calls, music, messages and other supported apps. The radio also supports wireless screen mirroring of iPhone and Android phones via the MirrorApp+ app.
6.8" capacitive display with 1024 × 600 px resolution
The front panel is dominated by a 6.8" capacitive WSVGA display with a 1024 × 600 px resolution. The display offers high readability, adjustable brightness, contrast and color settings, as well as automatic or manual dimming. The user interface can be partially customized, including the main menu and background.
DAB+ digital radio
The integrated DAB+ tuner enables reception of digital radio broadcasts with high audio quality. The radio supports, for example, automatic switching between DAB and FM, Seamless Blending, DLS text information, slideshow and automatic station search.
Bluetooth 5.0 for handsfree and music streaming
Built-in Bluetooth 5.0 enables wireless calling and music playback from your phone. The radio supports profiles HFP, A2DP, AVRCP and PBAP, codecs SBC and AAC, and can store up to 7 mobile phones. Features also include access to the phonebook, call history, voice control, noise suppression and echo cancellation.
Advanced sound settings
Kenwood DMX6523DABS offers far more sound tuning options than typical basic multimedia units. Available is a 13-band graphic equalizer, digital time correction, HPF and LPF filters, crossover settings, Bass Boost, Loudness and separate level adjustment for individual channels. For connecting external amplifiers, the radio provides front and rear RCA outputs and a dedicated mono subwoofer output with 2.5 V.
Reverse camera connection
A dedicated RCA input allows connecting a reversing camera. The image can be displayed automatically when reverse gear is engaged, and parking guide lines can be set directly on the head unit.
Short 1DIN chassis for easier installation
Although the radio has a front panel corresponding to a 2DIN design, the chassis itself is a short 1DIN construction. The installation depth is only approximately 86 mm, which greatly simplifies fitting into vehicles with limited space behind the dashboard.
