System for measuring and tuning sound Audison Bit Tune
Audison bit Tune is not just a tool for setting DSP, but a comprehensive measurement and tuning platform that elevates car audio installations to a professional level. In one device it combines automatic calibration, detailed signal analysis and advanced diagnostics, making it an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to get the maximum from their audio system. The foundation is the central measurement unit (CMU) complemented by a pair of precise microphones that enable both simulation of real listening inside the vehicle and accurate electrical measurements. Thanks to this bit Tune can automatically set time corrections, equalization and DSP processor signal levels in a matter of minutes. The result is a solid and accurate base on which final tuning can be built according to individual preferences.
A huge advantage is that bit Tune is not just an "automatic" but a full analyzer of the entire audio system. It allows detailed measurement of the vehicle's acoustic response using an RTA analyzer, signal inspection with an oscilloscope, distortion analysis, amplifier power measurement and source signal quality. It also includes a test signal generator, spectrum analysis and a high-resolution music player. All this in a single device without the need for additional external instruments. In practice you will especially appreciate the advanced diagnostic functions that reveal issues often hidden – reversed speaker polarity, missing signal, poor wiring or interference in the signal path. bit Tune can analyze optical signals, verify OEM output compatibility, simulate speaker load or detect electromagnetic interference directly in the vehicle. This significantly shortens installation time and eliminates errors that have a major impact on final sound.
Another major benefit is the ability to generate an automatic PDF report containing information about the installation, measured data and settings applied. This elevates every installation to a professional standard not only technically but also in communication with the customer. Audison bit Tune is simply a tool that dramatically increases work efficiency, accuracy of settings and, most importantly, the quality of the resulting sound. The automation creates a perfect foundation, but the final character remains in the hands of an experienced technician – and that is where the real difference between an ordinary installation and a top-tier result lies.
A recent extensive update further expanded Bit Tune's features (see link).
Audison APM – objective measurement of sound at the level of human perception
Audison APM (Acoustic Performance Measurement) is an advanced measurement system developed from long-term research into how sound is perceived in a car. Its main goal is to transfer sound quality assessment from purely subjective impressions to an objectively measurable plane – independent of musical taste or the momentary listening track.
At the core of APM is the so-called "dummy head" – a simulation of the human head that uses the HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function) principle and can realistically reproduce how a person actually perceives space, staging and sound localization. Thanks to this bit Tune does not work only with a "frequency graph" but with the real perception of the listening scene inside the vehicle. A key function is FSA (Front Stage Analysis), which automatically analyzes the placement of the virtual sound stage in front of the listener. In other words – the system precisely evaluates whether "the scene plays on the dashboard" or whether it is broken, shifted or inconsistent. The result is a concrete value (FSA score) that clearly shows the quality of the system setup. The second essential function is TMD (Total Music Distortion), which measures system distortion directly on real music signals, not only on synthetic test tones. Thanks to this it can accurately reveal system limits at different volumes and identify the moment when the system begins to break up or lose control.
The advantage of APM is that the results are not dependent on a specific track or subjective impression. Measurements are consistent and repeatable, which is crucial for professional installations as well as for comparing different settings or systems. In practice APM brings something that has long been missing in car audio – the ability to precisely measure sound quality as it is actually perceived by the human ear. And precisely in combination with bit Tune a tool is created that not only tunes but also verifies and confirms results at a level previously only possible with top laboratory systems.

About the brand
Audison is an Italian brand with a tradition since 1987. Its goal is to produce the best mobile electronics in the world and continue in an innovative style. Sound reproduction has always been a fascinating world where emotions and technology meet. The best results are achieved when these two values are at their peak. Thanks to this combination every Audison project questions existing standards driven by love of music and an inner need. Since the introduction of the first HR 100 amplifier the brand has created products that truly marked the history of car hi-fi. Audison is unwaveringly dedicated to research that leads to perfection in vehicle sound reproduction. Audison is a pioneer of innovation and accepts nothing less than perfection in every product it brings to life. Innovation disrupts standard processes and requires a demanding approach that goes beyond common solutions adopted by others. This is where the essence of the Audison brand is revealed. Innovation shapes the whole design process, starting with conceiving audio products for cars that provide unique value and enhance the listening experience in a vehicle. Audison continuously pushes technological boundaries and holds dozens of patents. Acoustic quality cannot accept compromises!
