In recent weeks, thanks to the arrival of new-generation materials, we have been working on improving our vehicle soundproofing range and have also introduced two new packages – Aero and Ultra. While Aero represents soundproofing focused on low weight, Ultra goes in the opposite direction and is our most comprehensive and technologically advanced car soundproofing solution. It is a path without compromise, combining the best of our work to date with further key steps that take the effect of soundproofing even further. We use the most effective Comfortmat materials available today and extend the scope to areas that are not normally covered by soundproofing.

What makes our Ultra soundproofing unique

Until now, our most advanced solution was the Expert Plus package, which combines full soundproofing of all important parts of the car body with the effectiveness of the most powerful Comfortmat anti-vibration and sound insulation materials. Despite its higher price, it has long been our most popular soundproofing package. Specifically, Expert Plus soundproofing focuses on:

• The floor and space under the rear seats.
• The front wheel arches from the inside.
• The luggage compartment, including the rear wheel arches and fenders.
• The front, rear, and fifth doors.
• The roof.
• The dashboard (the space under the windshield).
• The hood.

With the Ultra package, however, we go even further. Not only do we improve some of these areas with even more effective materials and more meticulous procedures, but we also add other essential steps that push the soundproofing effect to the absolute maximum. Every detail is thought out and perfected, resulting in the quietest interior and the highest level of comfort that can be achieved with professional car soundproofing.

What Ultra adds to Expert Plus:

• Soundproofing of front and rear wheel arches, including from the outside.

All joints between materials are treated with Comfortmat Band tape, which provides acoustic and waterproof sealing.

The Ultra package is not only about greater soundproofing, but also about the precise work of our technicians, who pay maximum attention to every detail. Every surface, every joint and every cavity is treated with the patience and experience that distinguish professional solutions from common compromises. Ultra thus represents a combination of the most effective Comfortmat materials and top-quality craftsmanship, with the aim of achieving maximum comfort in the interior.

More effective solutions for traditional surfaces

The floor and luggage compartment already achieve their maximum potential in the Expert Plus package, so with the Ultra package we focused on other areas where it was possible to further enhance the effect. We have improved the soundproofing of the doors, roof, and torpedo, where we use more effective anti-vibration and insulation materials and add additional layers. 

Front and rear wheel arches from the outside

Ultra also includes soundproofing of the front and rear wheel arches from the outside. The wheel arches are an area that has a significant impact on tire noise and rolling resistance. Thanks to the use of special Comfortmat materials, we achieve a significant reduction in noise, even in so-called carpeted wheel arches, where conventional solutions fail.

Soundproofing of A/B/C/D pillars

The pillars are in direct contact with airflow and often act as a resonator that transmits aerodynamic noise into the cabin. At Ultra, we also focus on this part of the car – by applying anti-vibration and acoustic materials, we significantly reduce wind noise, resonance, and vibration, which has a direct impact on the overall quietness of the interior.

We also soundproof all pillars (A/B/C/D) and pay attention to all important cavities and bodywork openings.

Body cavities

Sills, rear fenders, technical pockets, and other cavities are often sources of resonance that cannot be effectively addressed with conventional materials. That is why we use special Comfortmat Soundtrap blocks, which expand after insertion and fill the entire space. The result is the elimination of humming and resonance, a reduction in low-frequency noise, and an increase in body rigidity.

Plastic interior parts

Interior plastics often suffer from resonance and other unwanted noises. That's why we treat most plastic parts in the Ultra package – we reinforce them with anti-vibration materials and add sealing tape to ensure a perfect fit. The result is a quiet and compact interior without squeaky plastics.

Joining materials

Comfortmat also pays attention to details such as the joints between individual layers. We cover these with special Comfortmat Band tape, which ensures a soundproof and waterproof connection. It's a small detail that completes the soundproofing as a whole and reflects our precise work.

Additional service – dashboard soundproofing

An above-standard option with the Ultra package is also dashboard soundproofing. This area is a large plastic unit prone to resonance, which is transmitted to the interior. Even more important, however, is the significant reduction in engine noise, which we are able to reduce to an absolute minimum. The result is a solid, quiet dashboard and premium acoustic comfort in the cabin.
