The first and most important step is to thoroughly clean the glass. To do this, you will find not only polish in the package, but also the necessary applicator.
Proper glass preparation is the key to success
A major advantage of Gyeon Q² View EVO is its easy application, which any detailing enthusiast can master. Proper surface preparation is absolutely essential, as it determines the result and the declared service life. So how do you do it? Start with the basics – never apply the product in direct sunlight or on hot glass. It is ideal to work in a well-ventilated workshop or garage where you have control over the conditions. If the glass is heavily soiled, we recommend washing the entire car with a high-quality car shampoo first. In most cases, however, it is sufficient to use a glass cleaner, such as Gyeon Q²M Glass, which will remove surface dirt and prepare the glass for the next step. After cleaning, the windshield and side windows must be carefully dried with a microfiber cloth designed specifically for glass.
We continue by polishing the glass for a perfect finish
Polishing is a key step that determines how well the protective coating will bond to the surface. At this stage, any remaining limescale, grease, old waxes, and small impurities that could prevent perfect adhesion are removed. Before use, shake the bottle of Gyeon Q²M GlassPolish thoroughly, apply a small amount to the included polishing cube, and polish the glass surface evenly with circular movements. Proceed systematically across the entire surface of the windshield and side windows.
Finally, wipe off any remaining polish with a clean microfiber cloth and dry the surface. If it is difficult to remove the residue, use a high-quality glass cleaner again. Next, apply the liquid wipers. Put a few drops of Q² Repel on the applicator provided and apply it to the glass surface.
Finally, the application of the Gyeon Q² View EVO coating
After thoroughly preparing the glass, it is time to apply the ceramic protection. Before you begin, put on protective rubber gloves to prevent contact with your skin. Shake the bottle with the ceramic coating gently and apply a few drops to the included application sponge wrapped in a suede cloth.
Apply the coating systematically in circular motions over the entire surface of the glass. It is important to make sure that the product is applied evenly and that there are no gaps. After completing the first coat, allow the coating to work for 15 minutes and then apply a second coat in the same way directly onto the uncured coating.
After applying the second coat, wait another 15 minutes. Then wipe the coating off the surface with a damp microfiber cloth. We recommend using Gyeon Q²M BaldWipe EVO or your favorite twisted microfiber cloth. Work carefully until the glass is optically clean and free of coating residue.
Application tips and subsequent maintenance
For maximum effect, we recommend applying Gyeon Q² View EVO ceramic coating not only to the windshield, but also to the side, rear, and roof windows. This will achieve a consistent effect on all the car's windows and improve overall driving comfort. One package of Gyeon Q² View EVO is sufficient for the complete treatment of all windows of a standard passenger car.
- For even better performance, apply the ceramic coating to the wiper blades as well. Ideally, replace the wipers with new ones and apply the coating to their blades as well.
- After successful application, leave the car in a dry and warm place for at least 12 hours to allow the coating to cure sufficiently.
- We do not recommend washing the car for two weeks after application. Rainwater is fine, but chemical agents could interfere with the curing process.
- Subsequent maintenance is very simple – just wash the car regularly with a high-quality pH-neutral shampoo, such as Gyeon Q²M Bathe. This gently removes dirt without damaging the protective layer. And, of course, use the aforementioned glass cleaner.
