Blaupunkt AUTOJET 25 is an electrically retractable telescopic car antenna designed primarily for classic cars and youngtimers where you want to preserve the period look of an automatically extending antenna. It features a chromed telescopic mast, an electric motor and is intended for mounting into the fender or another suitable part of the bodywork. The antenna operates in the FM band 87.5–108 MHz and automatically extends when the car radio is switched on and retracts again after it is switched off. Power is supplied from the vehicle's 12 V electrical system.
Classic look for youngtimers
Automatically retractable antennas were a typical feature of better equipped cars mainly in the 1980s and 1990s. AUTOJET 25 continues this concept and is especially suitable for restorations, youngtimers or cars where you want to preserve the classic look without a modern roof antenna.
Electric extending and retracting
An integrated electric motor automatically controls the telescopic mast according to the signal from the car radio. The antenna therefore does not need to remain extended permanently and safely hides in the bodywork when the radio is switched off. The telescopic mast consists of 5 extendable sections and the maximum length of the extended mast is approximately 790 mm.
Chromed antenna mast
The AUTOJET 25 model uses a chromed antenna mast that matches the look of classic cars. Blaupunkt also offers a separate AUTOJET 25 BLACK variant with a black mast.
Mounting into bodywork
The antenna is intended for through-mounting into the bodywork. The manufacturer specifies the required mounting hole diameter as 14.5 mm. The design also includes an adjustable mounting bracket so the antenna can be adapted to the slope of a particular fender.
1.4 m connection cable
Blaupunkt AUTOJET 25 is equipped with a 1.4 metre connection cable with a screw-type M10×75 connection on one end and a classic DIN antenna connector on the other.
Can also be used for DAB+
The AUTOJET 25 itself is intended for FM reception. Blaupunkt states that in combination with a suitable active antenna splitter it can also be used for DAB+ reception.
