Musway M4nano is an ultra-compact 4-channel amplifier with an integrated 8-channel DSP processor and the prestigious EISA 2026–2027 award. It brings the technologies of Musway's larger DSP amplifiers into an exceptionally small chassis measuring just 150 x 95 x 45 mm. Four Class D amplification channels deliver 4 × 55 W RMS at 4 Ω, or up to 2 × 190 W RMS at 4 Ω in bridged configuration. Thanks to four processed RCA outputs, the system can be expanded with additional amplifiers at any time, so the M4nano can serve both as a simple upgrade for factory audio and as the control center of a larger active system. Signal processing is handled by the proven Analog Devices ADAU1452 DSP processor combined with the Burr-Brown PCM3168A converter and 512k Bit DSP technology. Six high-level inputs supporting signals up to 24 V RMS, EPS®, automatic turn-on, start-stop compatibility and the option of Plug&Play installation via the MX-Connect connector make integration into modern vehicles easy. Despite its very attractive price, the M4nano offers full DSP functions, high-quality sound and surprising power reserves, as confirmed by the professional test in Car&Hifi magazine.

The main advantage of the M4nano is its extremely small size, allowing the amplifier to be installed practically anywhere in the vehicle. Nevertheless, inside you will find four full-featured Class D amplification channels and a complete power supply. The manufacturer specifies 4 × 55 W RMS at 4 Ω and 4 × 95 W RMS at 2 Ω, but measurements by Car&Hifi magazine showed significantly higher values – 63 W per channel at 4 Ω, 116 W at 2 Ω and 232 W bridged. The test also highlighted very low distortion at common power levels and a sonic character that sounds far more mature than the amplifier’s dimensions would suggest.

The M4nano uses a 32-bit Analog Devices ADAU1452 DSP processor together with a Burr-Brown PCM3168A converter. The DSP processes eight output channels, of which four are for the internal amplifier and four are routed out via processed RCA outputs for connecting additional amplifiers. Available is a fully parametric 31-band equalizer for each output, active Butterworth, Bessel and Linkwitz crossovers with slopes up to 48 dB/oct., time correction, phase, level adjustments and full signal routing. New are expanded input-signal adjustment options including a 10-band parametric EQ for each input, which simplifies correcting the factory signal before further processing. Up to six separate DSP profiles can be saved.

For connection to factory audio systems, the M4nano offers six high-level inputs with sensitivity up to 24 V RMS and six low-level RCA inputs. Intelligent automatic turn-on, the EPS® system for seamless cooperation with factory head-unit diagnostics, Remote Out and compatibility with start-stop vehicles are included. The software also provides automatic switching to the high-level input to preserve vehicle system sounds and offers a Power Save mode suitable for modern cars with CAN communication. Using the 20-pin MX-Connect connector, the amplifier can be linked to optional wiring harnesses and, in many vehicles, installed practically Plug&Play.

The DSP can be fully configured using Musway Tunest PC software. With the optional BTA-HD Bluetooth module, a mobile app and high-quality wireless music streaming are available, while the simpler BTS serves for Bluetooth audio streaming. The M4nano also supports Musway myCON and DRC1 remote controls, which allow volume control, subwoofer level adjustment, source switching or switching between saved DSP profiles. A major advantage of the Musway system is a wide portfolio of accessories and wiring harnesses, enabling the amplifier’s functions to be gradually expanded according to the specific installation.

The editors praised above all the compact dimensions, very low distortion, surprisingly high real-world power and the wide capabilities of the 8-channel DSP. They summarized the result by calling the M4nano an exceptionally successful entry-level DSP amplifier. This recognition was followed by the international EISA IN-CAR MICRO AMPLIFIER 2026–2027 award, which confirms the outstanding combination of compact size, power, DSP features and easy integration.
