The MATCH PP 86DSP MK2 continues the successful history of its predecessor and introduces several improvements. As a powerful 8-channel amplifier with 1 line output and an integrated 9-channel DSP with 64-bit performance, it is perfectly suited for audiophile upgrades of multi-channel factory audio systems and delivers an impressive sound experience.

Seamless integration and impressive connectivity

The MATCH Plug & Play concept ensures seamless integration into factory systems, taken to perfection with the PP 86DSP MK2. With 2 Ohm stability on all channels it can be connected to almost any OE speakers, while optional wiring harnesses significantly simplify integration into existing multi-channel systems. The MATCH PP 86DSP MK2 also offers extended connectivity – it features an intelligent 6-channel high-level input with the ADEP.3 circuit and an MEC slot for system expansion, for example for Bluetooth HD audio streaming. It also includes a 1-channel mono line output for connecting external amplifiers such as the MATCH UP 1FX, and an optical SPDIF input with a sampling frequency range from 12 to 96 kHz. Finally, it is equipped with an SCP port for optional accessories such as DIRECTOR, CONDUCTOR and others.

Virtual Channel Processing - a modern way to route signals

Optimal adaptation to multi-channel audio systems requires thoughtful control and configuration of DSP channels – which is why the PP 86DSP MK2 is equipped with Audiotec Fischer’s innovative virtual channel processing. Especially when front, rear and center systems are split into multi-way sections, conventional routing concepts quickly reach their limits in terms of usability and implementation. Multi-level Virtual Channel Processing combined with the user-friendly DSP PC-Tool software makes it easy to map even very complex system configurations and freely assign proprietary sound FX functions. With its high channel count and the option to expand with the MEC ANALOG IN module, the PP 86DSP MK2 is an ideal example for applications where 1:1 routing (IOR) makes sense.

ACO - advanced 32-bit CoProcessor platform

Of course, the PP 86DSP MK2 is equipped with its own 32-bit ACO platform, which not only handles all control tasks extremely quickly but also manages a range of audio functions: impressive sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter, plus an input equalizer for each channel including an Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of input signals from OE radios that already have their own factory sound settings.

DSP PC-Tool 5 with TuneEQ - powerful features for the ultimate sound experience

The MATCH PP 86DSP MK2 can of course be easily configured using our professional and highly intuitive DSP PC-Tool software. The well-known and extensive configuration options meet all expectations and ensure extremely precise sound tuning even for complex setups. Thanks to the proprietary TuneEQ feature for automatic frequency response correction, you will also save a lot of time when optimizing sound.

TuneEQ

TuneEQ is an exceptionally flexible yet very easy-to-use feature for automatic frequency response correction. A single measurement per audio channel or pair of channels using a suitable measurement microphone (for example, MTK1) is all that’s needed, and TuneEQ then independently and precisely adjusts the equalizers according to the desired target curve. TuneEQ uses the full set of parametric EQ functions – including center frequency, Q factor and gain. Because all complex calculations run in the background, TuneEQ saves a great deal of time during sound optimization.

RealCenter

The RealCenter function is an algorithm developed by Audiotec Fischer that emphasizes musical information present in both left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. Unlike conventional methods where channels are simply summed, the intensity of the center signal is dynamically controlled based on the stereo content of the left and right channels. It may sound complex, but the result is stunning: if only the left or the right channel plays, the center channel remains quiet. With common algorithms the center level is reduced by only 6 dB (half the volume). Thanks to RealCenter, a unique, wide musical scene is created for driver and passenger alike. The disadvantages of a classic center channel, such as a narrow and intrusive sound image, become a thing of the past.

Augmented Bass Processing

The proprietary Augmented Bass Processing technology from Audiotec Fischer consists of two revolutionary functions – Dynamic Bass Enhancement and SubXpander – which were specially developed to dramatically improve subwoofer bass reproduction.

• Dynamic Bass Enhancement cleverly combines maximum bass depth with high sound pressure – regardless of musical genre or tone settings in the car radio. Based on the input signal, it raises the level of low frequencies and variably shifts the cutoff frequency of the subsonic filter. The result is noticeably stronger and deeper bass at low and medium volumes without risking subwoofer overload at high volumes.

• If you want even deeper and "darker" bass reproduction, the SubXpander function can be activated to add subharmonic tones to the fundamental tones in the 50–100 Hz range.
