Cleaning and Maintenance of Rubber Mats
Keeping your car clean is not only aesthetically pleasing but also safer for everything you transport. Dust and coarse dirt that accumulate over time can scratch transported items, so it's important to maintain the mat's cleanliness. We recommend cleaning the rubber mat at least once every two months, or more frequently if you transport items often. Here's a simple way to do it.- First, vacuum the mat thoroughly (either in the car or outside).
- If necessary, shake out the dirt in an appropriate place.
- Vacuum the trunk space.
- Place the mat outside on a clean surface or hang it on a wall or designated area.
- Ensure the bottom side of the rubber mat remains clean.
- Spray a universal cleaner and let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes.
- If the mat is heavily soiled, use a brush.
- Ideally, use a pressure washer to rinse off dirt and let it air dry.
- If a pressure washer is not available, use a microfiber cloth and gradually wipe off the cleaner.
- Once clean and dry, you can place the rubber mat back in the car.
