Blaupunkt Dublin 412
Blaupunkt Dublin 412 is a robust 1DIN car radio from the Heavy Duty series, designed primarily for tractors, agricultural machinery, vans, motorhomes, buses, trucks and construction equipment. It runs on a 12V electrical system and combines an FM/AM tuner, Bluetooth 5.0, two USB inputs, AUX, a 3‑band semi‑parametric equalizer and 4 × 50 W power. The construction is adapted to tougher operation — the radio has large rubberized controls, a matte non‑reflective surface, a protective rubber frame and a covered front USB port. With an installation depth of only 76 mm it easily fits cabins with limited space behind the dashboard.
Heavy Duty design for utility vehicles
Dublin 412 is part of the special Blaupunkt Heavy Duty range. Large rubberized presets enable easy control even during work, while the rubber frame protects the radio edges from scratches and minor impacts. The matte surface reduces unwanted reflections in the cabin. Permanent memory preserves settings and stored stations when the main power is disconnected, for example during vehicle service.
Bluetooth 5.0 with hands‑free and music streaming
Integrated Bluetooth 5.0 LE enables hands‑free calling and wireless music streaming. The radio supports A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and SPP profiles and AAC and SBC codecs. It remembers the last 5 paired devices and can have one connected at a time. For calls you can use the built‑in microphone or the included external microphone. Phonebook access for up to 1000 numbers and voice assistants such as Siri, Google Assistant or Alexa are supported.
2× USB and wide audio format support
Dublin 412 has one USB‑A port up front and another USB‑A port at the rear. It supports FAT16, FAT32 and exFAT, media capacity over 128 GB and more than 20,000 files or folders. It can play MP2, MP3, WMA, FLAC, M4A/AAC and WAV. The manufacturer also lists APE among supported formats. The radio supports folder and file browsing and direct control of compatible Apple iPod/iPhone devices via front and rear USB.
3‑band semi‑parametric equalizer
Unlike simpler Blaupunkt models, the Dublin 412 has a true 3‑band semi‑parametric equalizer. Separate Bass and Treble controls, Balance/Fader, Loudness and presets are available (Rock, Pop, Classic). The built‑in amplifier supplies 4 × 50 W max. / 4 × 24 W RMS at 14.4 V. For system expansion there is a 4‑channel RCA pre‑out and a dedicated stereo Sub‑Out with adjustable level and frequency.
Multicolor illumination
The display and buttons can be set to one of 7 colors — white, green, yellow, red, purple, blue or light blue. Brightness is adjustable in 16 steps and the radio supports day/night mode via the dimmer input.
Microphone input for announcements
There is a dedicated 6.3 mm microphone input on the front panel, which can be used for announcements in buses, utility vehicles or other special applications.

We know 2DIN car radios from newer vehicles, a classic example is the VW Golf IV with navigation. | Integrated BluetoothBluetooth is a communication technology used for wireless connection between two or more electronic devices. A mobile phone, for example, can be connected to a car radio with built-in Bluetooth. Most car radios for 2017 and later can also wirelessly stream (play) music via Bluetooth -> A2DP function. | Yes |
| USB inputThe USB input of the car radio is used to connect a USB flash drive or smartphone. Today, playing music via USB is the most popular way to listen to music in the car. The USB input can be front (on the front panel of the car radio) or rear (on the back of the cable). | Yes |
| SD card accessModern branded car radios can play SDHC SD cards up to 32 GB, sometimes even 64 GB. The SD card slot is behind the front panel in most car radios. | No |

| Apple CarPlayApple CarPlay is a completely new option for connecting a smartphone to a car radio that has the Apple CarPlay function. The connection is only by cable, thanks to the high data flow. You click on the Apple CarPlay icon on the car radio screen and application icons appear on the car radio screen like on a smartphone, and you can continue to control everything using the car radio. It also works with voice control and Siri. | No |
| Android AutoGoogle's Android Auto is a completely new option for connecting a smartphone to a car radio that has the Android Auto function. The connection is only by cable, thanks to the high data flow. The Android OS requirement is at least version 5.0. You click on the Android Auto icon on the car radio screen, and application icons appear on the car radio screen like on a smartphone, and you can continue to control everything using the car radio. | Car radio performanceThe performance of the car radio shown in maximum values. This is therefore the MAX value. The performance of the internal amplifier of the car radio. Today, the RMS power of a car radio ranges from 17 - 30 W RMS per channel. | 4 x 50 W |
| Number of RCA outputsRCA outputs , colloquially called "cinches", are used to connect an external amplifier or active subwoofer. Aftermarket car radios are usually equipped with 1 to 3 pairs of RCA outputs. FRONT, REAR and SUB are used. It also depends on how many volt outputs the car radio is equipped with. More basic models of car radios have 2V outputs, more expensive units have 4V and more. The higher the specified value, the less power demands are placed on the external amplifier and the sound quality increases. | 3 pairs |
| Input for steering wheel button control adapterCar radios equipped with a cable input or a 3.5 Jack socket for an adapter to control the buttons on the steering wheel. Most branded car radios have this input, from the back of the car radio body. | Yes |
| External microphone included in the packageThe external microphone is connected from the back of the car radio to the input marked "MIC". For ideal sound quality during a phone call, we recommend placing the external microphone on the left "A" pillar at the point where the "A" pillar and the roof panel connect to each other. A very good position to place an external microphone is also near the central rear-view mirror. | Yes |
| Remote control includedCard IR remote control of the car radio, thanks to which certain functions of the car radio incl. control the volume from the hand, remotely. | No |
| Removable front panelPossibility to remove the entire front panel of the car radio by pressing the side button. A very effective weapon against car radio theft. We recommend not hiding the panel in the vehicle, but taking it with you. Alternatively, place the panel in a hidden place in the trunk, but not when leaving the car, but before parking. You never know when a thief might be watching you. | No |
