The Blaupunkt Essen 200 DAB BT is a classic 1DIN car radio in Blaupunkt’s traditional design that combines digital DAB+ radio, a quality RDS tuner, Bluetooth handsfree, a CD drive and music playback via USB or AUX. It is part of the PRO-LINE series, with the manufacturer focusing primarily on good reception of both analog and digital radio.
DAB+ and high-quality RDS tuner
The radio supports DAB/DAB+ as well as classic FM/AM broadcasting. The analog section uses a High Grade RDS tuner with AF, CT, PS, REG, TA and TP functions. The memory offers 15 FM and 15 AM stations. The DAB section supports service scanning and station saving. The DAB antenna connects via an SMB connector with 12V phantom power, while the classic FM antenna uses an ISO connector. The DAB antenna is not included in the package.
Bluetooth with handsfree
Built-in Bluetooth supports the HFP and A2DP profiles, enabling handsfree calling and wireless music streaming. The radio uses an internal microphone and allows access to up to 100 contacts in the connected phone's phonebook. One device can be paired.
CD drive, USB and AUX input
Unlike many simpler modern radios, the Essen 200 DAB BT still includes a classic CD drive that supports CD-DA, CD-R and CD-RW. Music files can be played in MP3 and WMA formats. There is also one front USB input and a 3.5 mm AUX input. The display can show file, folder, track, artist, album and playback time information.
Power 4 × 50 W
The integrated four-channel amplifier offers a maximum power of 4 × 50 W and an RMS power of 4 × 25 W at 14.4 V. For connecting an external amplifier there is one pair of RCA outputs with a level of 1.5 V RMS. Sound can be adjusted via bass, treble, balance and fader. There is also an X-Bass function and sound presets Flat, Rock, Pop and Classic.
