Blaupunkt Cape Town 948 DAB
The Blaupunkt Cape Town 948 DAB is a top-tier 1DIN multimedia unit with a large 10.1" capacitive IPS HD display (1280 × 720 px), wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB/DAB+, Bluetooth, 3× USB, a DSP processor, a 16-band equalizer and the ability to connect up to four cameras. The display can tilt, rotate and be adjusted in height, so it can be tailored to a specific dashboard.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
The Cape Town 948 DAB supports wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This allows safe use of navigation, music, calls, messages and supported apps directly via the 10.1" touchscreen or voice control.
10.1" IPS HD display
The large capacitive IPS display has a resolution of 1280 × 720 px and offers positional adjustment for specific installations. It can be raised by approximately 6 cm, tilted up to ±25° and rotated horizontally by about ±10°.
DAB+ and High-End CODEM IV tuner
The unit uses a High-End Automotive CODEM IV tuner supporting FM, AM, DAB and DAB+. Radiotext, DLS, AF, TA, REG, PTY, DAB Service Following and an alphabetical DAB station list are available. Memory offers 18 FM, 12 AM and 15 DAB presets.
DSP, 16-band equalizer and time correction
The integrated DSP processor provides a 16-band equalizer, time correction, Loudness and preset sound profiles. The built-in amplifier delivers a maximum of 4 × 50 W and 4-channel RCA pre-outs plus a separate Sub-Out are provided for external amplifiers.
Up to 4 camera inputs
The Cape Town 948 DAB allows connection of up to 4 cameras. It supports CVBS and AHD video signals up to 1080p, automatic camera switching and supplies cameras with 5 V or 12 V power.
Navigation ready
The unit is Nav-Ready. The navigation module is part of the system, but using it requires purchasing Blaupunkt navigation software for passenger cars, motorhomes or trucks.
