Bass shakers are special vibration transducers that, instead of reproducing sound, generate mechanical vibrations transmitted to a seat or vehicle structure. This intensifies the perception of low frequencies and gives music and film effects a markedly more realistic character. They are most often used as a complement to a traditional subwoofer, but they also find use in installations with limited space.
