The air conditioning may feel like a breath of fresh air, but it works by drawing in moist outside air full of harmful substances, both organic and inorganic particles. Even with cabin filters, these contaminants can get into ducts, tubes and vents that blow directly into the cabin. When the air conditioning runs, condensation forms inside the system, creating an ideal environment for bacteria, fungi and mold to multiply. The result is unpleasant odors, and released spores can trigger asthma or other respiratory problems. How to use
- Use only in well-ventilated areas, such as an open garage or driveway.
- Start your vehicle and set the fan to maximum and the air conditioning to the lowest temperature.
- Open all air-conditioning vents and switch to recirculation mode.
- Let the engine run for a few minutes.
- Slide the passenger seat all the way back.
- Shake the spray and place it in the center cup holder, on the armrest, or behind the passenger seat.
- Firmly press the top lever to activate the spray.
- Exit the vehicle, make sure all windows are closed and that the car will not lock itself automatically.
- Wait 15 minutes to allow the cleaner to reach all parts of the cabin and the ventilation system.
- After 15 minutes, set the airflow to direct mode (turn off recirculation).
- Leave all windows and doors open for another 15 minutes.
